Press release In two periods, three movements
With the arrival of the last competitors, last night in the port of Les Sables d'Olonne, the 2010 edition of Les Sables - The Azores - Les Sables ends on an encouraging note. A smaller flotilla than usual, but very adept competitors, exceptional weather conditions and the conviviality that reigned over the race will be the watchwords of this year. And now, back to the start of a race for the prize giving on Saturday, at 19h30 at the “Jardins du Tribunal at” Les Sables d’Olonne.
The adventure began at the end of July on the pontoons of Les Sables d'Olonne. Thirty-six single handed skippers have an appointment for what will be the largest offshore race of the Classe ...

Press release Last Dance
They are only nine in the ballroom. Already the refrains of the festival are fading, but that is another waltz that awaits the remaining competitors still at sea. From the night of Thursday to Friday, a new low pressure area would pick the last stragglers and violent shaking the tail fleet. Other cleaver menacingly: the closing deadline of the line. The prototypes will be arrived before Thursday, 4:27 p.m. and boats series before Friday morning, 3:26.
The parade of arrivals continues. No bitterness among the candidates to victory delayed by damage, but rather the satisfaction of having brought the boat safely and the feeling of having ex ...

Press release A leg that changes everything
The arrivals continue to succeed in Les Sables d'Olonne. After Vincent Barnaud (NorthStar) who has managed to bring his ship despite its dismasting, it is Jean-Marie Oger (JMO Sailing), Robert Rosenjacobson (NED 602) and Louis Mauffret (Abri & Co Solidarité) who arrived safely. The second leg will, ultimately, messed up the rankings of the race. The podium of prototypes cannot be more international; and for series, the second leg will permit the return of miles from anywhere of some competitors.
This second leg, even faster than the first will nevertheless caused considerable differences between the competitors. A weather a little more muscle than in the first leg and a rough sea h ...

Press release Three arrivals, three profiles
After Bertrand Delesne (Prati'Buches), it was Thomas Normand (Financière de l’Echiquier) and Xavier Macaire (Starter) who cut the finish line. While emotional restraint, Thomas Normand still marveled at his second place and the pleasure he took, when Xavier Macaire left detonated his joy in front of his family and friends came to celebrate his victory in boat series.
When he landed on the pontoon in Port Olona, Thomas Normand did not believe his eyes. It recently held a candle to most of the fleet with the exception of the Extra-Terrestrial Bertrand Del ...

Press Release Bertrand Delesne, winner Express
Arriving this Monday, August 23 at 4h27mn18s (GMT +2), Bertrand Delesne recorded an outstanding performance based as much on the management of his race than on meticulously prepared. The skipper of Prati'Buches has traveled the leg back in 5jdays 13h27mn18s, with an average of 9.53 knots. His overall time in race is 12j01h42mn19s.
There is a feeling that it is a run in the bay. His prototype, which was tied at the Vendée Globe pontoon in Port Olona, is as shiny. Bertrand Delesne, ‘quiet as Baptist’, just measure the ...

Press release Slide, small fast cars
In checking of 4h pm, Bertrand Delesne was only 135 miles from the finish in Les Sables d'Olonne to be accomplished tomorrow early morning. In all likelihood, the skipper of Prati'Buches will have taken less than six days to reach the Vendeen harbor from the Azores. Behind him, in prototype as in series, the second and third steps of the podium might be much contested.
He can start to look in his wake and measure the scope of what he is doing. With 110 miles ahead of his closest pursuers, Bertrand Delesne is not quite on the same planet as the others. And ...
